Billing Information
Madison Surgery Center maintains a rigorous program of cost containment to assure high-quality health care at a competitive rate. Our facility fee is billed separately from the fees of our physicians (surgeons, proceduralists, anesthesiologists) and our laboratory and pathology fees. Our charges include the costs associated with the procedure/operating rooms, recovery room, nursing staff, medical-surgical supplies and pharmaceuticals. The University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation (UMWF) is the manager partner and billing agent for the Madison Surgery Center. UW Health-Physicians is the name UWMF utilizes when conducting its billing and collection services. You may also receive a separate bill for the professional or provider’s charges from UW Health Physicians.
Method of Payment
Our Surgery Center is an approved facility for many health plans. Patients not fully covered by their insurance plans should make financial arrangements prior to the day of the procedure.
